Brian Skerry is one of the world's most accomplished underwater photographers specializing in marine wildlife. He fell in love with the sea as a child growing up in New England while taking family trips to the icy green waters of the Atlantic. Since 1998 he has been a contributing photographer for National Geographic Magazine. He has published over twenty feature stories for Nat Geo. This guy is a force. He is a 10-time award winner in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition in London, among numerous other industry awards. Too many to count. He’s addressed the United Nations general assembly, given TED TALKS, and gives lectures often about ocean conservation. While on assignment for National Geographic on September 1, 2016, he photographed President Barack Obama snorkeling in the waters off Midway Atoll in the Pacific Ocean helping to solidify Obama’s decision to create marine reserves.
